About Ybor City Coffee and Tea Co

Located in historic Ybor City (inside The Bunker Building), Ybor City Coffee and Tea brings locally roasted craft coffee, hand-blended teas, house-made eats, and local beer together to create a welcoming, community-centric cafe.

Ybor City Coffee and Tea Co is a cafe in Tampa, Florida. It is listed at 1907 N 19th St, Tampa, FL 33605, which places it among the local businesses of Tampa that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–2 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (813) 242-0855. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is mymenuweb.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 771 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafes in Tampa.

Tampa is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Tampa peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I stopped by Ybor City Coffee & Tea today intending to get a little work done. Unfortunately, they served me a large café con leche so good that productivity immediately became secondary. The café con leche was absolutely terrific—rich, smooth, and strong enough that I briefly considered updating my résumé to include “professional coffee drinker” as a skill. What I really appreciated was the atmosphere. It was quiet, comfortable, and a perfect place to sit down with a laptop and focus for a while. Well, focus until the coffee kicked in and I started believing I could finish three weeks of work before lunch. The location also captures the character of historic Ybor City perfectly. It feels authentic, welcoming, and full of local charm. Whether you’re looking for a great cup of coffee, a place to meet a friend, or a comfortable spot to get some work done, this is an excellent choice. Five stars. The coffee was fantastic, the atmosphere was perfect, and I left with enough energy to negotiate a peace treaty, write a novel, and reorganize my garage—all before dinner.

Our team at Heaven Sent Roofing loves supporting local businesses, and Ybor City Coffee and Tea Co is always a solid stop when we’re in the area. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and a wide selection of coffee and tea options that make it easy for the crew to recharge during a busy day. If you’re in Ybor City and want a reliable local café with character, this spot is definitely worth visiting.

Highly recommend the breakfast Cuban. Bread had to be baked last night or this morning — so fresh. What the sandwich lacks in spice it makes up for in subtlety and creaminess. The breakfast croissant is goat cheese forward, but you still get the butteriness of the croissant and the sharpness of the spinach. Any goat cheese lover should try it. The caramel latte isn’t too sweet. The music is unique and enjoyable.

Quaint stand alone coffee and tea shop just off of a cute park. Here on a Sunday morning, fueling up for a drive home. Nice options for hot and cold beverages, tasty breakfast sandwiches and pastries (we enjoyed the Breakfast Cuban). It’s nice and quiet. Inside and outside seating. Enjoy the wild chickens and roosters that are wandering by.

We stopped by Ybor City Coffee and Tea on a Saturday morning before heading to the airport and had a great experience. It was relatively quiet, with plenty of seating both inside and outside, which made for a relaxed vibe. The Colombian drip coffee, roasted in-house, was outstanding — definitely the highlight of the visit. I had the breakfast Cuban sandwich, which was decent but not particularly memorable (though the bread was excellent). My wife enjoyed her breakfast croissant more than I did my sandwich. We also split a guava and cream cheese pastry, and it was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was super chill. Plus, there was a small farmers market happening right across the street, which added to the charm. A great spot for a quiet breakfast and truly great coffee!
